At 10:21 on January 23, a 5.8 magnitude earthquake occurred in Delingha, Haixi Prefecture, Qinghai, with a depth of 8 km and the epicenter location about 150 km from the airport.
The airport was in the process of securing flights when the earthquake occurred, and there were obvious tremors. The emergency command center of Delingha Airport notified all departments to check facilities and equipment at 10:25 according to the earthquake emergency plan and key equipment checklist, and reported the earthquake situation to Qinghai Airport Company according to the information reporting process. All departments promptly organized staff to check all facilities and equipment, and after checking everything was normal, on-site security personnel organized passengers to board the plane in an orderly manner, and the flight took off normally at 10:43.
After the flight, the airport branch again organized all staff to carry out a comprehensive inspection of facilities and equipment, runway surface and monolithic buildings. The results of the inspection showed that all facilities and equipment in the field were normal, the runway surface was normal, the main structure of the terminal building and monolithic buildings was normal, and individual parts of the walls were 1-2mm wider than before.
